As the Vice President of Strategic Development for Experience Columbus, Michael S. Brown is an advocate for building the community’s brand and tourism economy. Brown is focused on leveraging collaborations with private and public partners that raise Columbus' national image as a smart/open community to harness the economic power of tourism, sports, conventions, conferences and events. Mike joined Experience Columbus in 2010 after serving 11 years in the administration of Columbus Mayor Michael B. Coleman as Communications Director and Policy Adviser. He currently serves as a board member of the Jazz Arts Group, the Columbus Downtown Commission, Columbus Vehicle for Hire Board, Independents’ Day Festival and others. Brown is a graduate of Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism.
